The highest point in Guyana is Mount Roraima, with the the plateau standing at 2700 m with the peak at 2810 m in Venezuela. It is the tripartite border of Guyana, Venezuela and Brazil, and can only be reached from the Venezuelan side. Ancient Guiana Shield’s extended part comes in Brazil and Venezuela. It was once part of Gondwanaland before tectonic activity moved apart the continents of Africa and South America.

Roraima has a unique vegetation which can be seen on its plateau. ground with crystal clear pools and uneven surface and naturally amazing rock formations made by water and currents give spectacular view. the crystal beds here have large and individual crystals in amazing shapes and give a memorable view from top over the Gran Sabana of Venezuela.

ZION NATIONAL PARK

Zion National Park may not have trains but it’s already got a subway. The canyon’s natural Subway is spectacular tunnel sculpted by two curved canyon walls. Deep inside the tubular tunnel glimmers of sunlight trickle into the darkness, allowing algae to grow in the water filled potholes. The green flora creates an eerie turquoise glow that radiates throughout the spectacular chamber. The crystal clear water splashing through this picturesque setting meanders over polished rock to the open canyon below.

The narrow Subway section of this hike forces hikers through a unique tunnel sculpted by the Left Fork of North Creek. Churning water chisels the rock floor, forming shallow potholes that fill to the brim with frosty water. Silhouettes dance freely on multi-colored walls where only a trickle of sun light penetrates into the curved chamber of the Subway. Falling water echoes in the nature carved tunnel where dragonflies dart, frogs laze about and shimmering emerald pools tempt cold hikers to dawdle.

The Subway is a popular spot among hikers.

1. Burger King, Buenos Aires

This beautiful Venetian-style building looks more like a church than a burger chain, yet the fast food restaurant has been housed within its elegant walls since the 1990s. The ornate decorations and high, sloping ceilings make this the most sophisticated Burger King in the world. [More information]

2. Pizza Hut, Hong Kong

With the look of a five-star hotel, you can enjoy your garlic bread in absolute comfort at this Pizza Hut in Hong Kong. The upmarket decorations were put in place to make the restaurant appeal to tourists, as it’s noticeably different than the average American or European Pizza Hut.

3. KFC, Iceland

This KFC in Iceland has an almost art deco-like architectural style, giving it undeniable impact against the horizon. Shaped to look like black boxes with several vertical ribbon windows, the building appears severe and almost looming, yet lets in plenty of light with a sea view for its guests. [More information]

In the beautiful building of Budapest’s former Royal Waiting Hall, McDonald’s have set up their own golden arches with a stunningly-designed restaurant. The restored 19th century structure was originally designed to welcome dignitaries arriving by rail. [More images]

In the town of Tukwila, Seattle, Starbucks have opened up an ingenious coffee shop inside some former shipping containers. With about as much floor space as the average Starbucks has behind the counter, the amazing building uses recycled materials to create a unique and eco-friendly cafe. [More information]

Modern Jet Fighters are the key to controlling the battlefield.  Since the introduction of the P-51 Mustang in WWII the U.S. has always put the upmost emphasis on air superiority.  If you control the air, you control the ground.
Modern Fighters are developed with cutting edge state of the art technology.  From stealth designs, advanced engines and pitch axis thrust vectoring.  Also new helmet mounted targeting displays make these jets more lethal.  But pilot training is still a major factor.
The U.S. air force, navy and marines practice more than any other military air arm in the world.  They have the financial resources to gas up the jets and keep the pilots practicing air to air combat on a regular basis.  The western Europeans and Japanese pilots also have comprehensive training.  The Russians have some of the best pilots in the world, but budget constraints don’t allow them to train as much as they would like.   The People’s Liberation Army Air Force of China only provides extra training to the elite pilots that fly their most advanced fighters such as the J-10.
